Lucy A. Harrison, 53, of Orange died Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Methodist Hospital in Houston.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend David Turner of Little Cypress Baptist Church and Reverend Scott McIntosh of North Orange Baptist Church will officiate.

Interment will be at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Lucy was born September 7, 1955, in Beaumont to Ed and Anne LaForge.

Lucy was former president of Texas Dance Expressions for her daughter Jaycie, and loved spending time with her family and her grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ed LaForge and sister and brother in law, Kay and Richard Frost.

She is survived by her husband, James Harrison, her mother, Anne LaForge, daughters, Jaycie Harrison, Rendi Hufford and husband Justin and son Ryan Harrison, all of Orange; niece Jennifer Bennett and husband Chris and numerous other nieces and nephews; granddaughter, Paysli Hufford; sister and brothers, Laura Soulders, Lee LaForge and John LaForge; sisters and brothers in law, Patricia and George Coit and Glenda and Bill Mello.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kelly Alford, Bill Mello, Nathan Byerly, Justin Hufford, Ryan Harrison, George Coit and Chris Bennett.
