Madlyn Leona Borel, 79, of Beaumont passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. A service celebrating her life will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10: 00 a.m. in the chapel of Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. There will be a gathering of family and friends Sunday afternoon, July 27, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Surviving Madlyn are her husband, Donald Anthony Borel, Sr.; her sons, Donald Anthony Borel, Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Beaumont, William James Borel (Jim) and his wife, Marcy , of Sour Lake, Scott Wayne Borel and his wife, Michele, of China; grandchildren, Ashley Borel, Whitney Fuller and her husband, Matt, William James Borel, Jr.(Will) and his wife, Tracy, Melissa Borel, Blake Borel, Chase Borel and Adam Borel and great-grandson, William James Borel, III (Trip).

Madlyn Borel’s life was devoted to her family as wife, mother and homemaker. As the mother of three sons she was always busy but found time to support the Astros (even when they were the Colt 45’s) and the Dallas Cowboys. Her favorite place to vacation was Walt Disney World. She loved Disney and all things associated with Disney World and the Magic Kingdom. She traveled to Disney World many times enjoying each trip. She especially enjoyed sharing the magic with all of her children and grandchildren.
