Marcia Gale Boaze was born in Oxford, Mississippi, on March 15, 1953. She was born to Doris M. Armstrong and the late George G. Armstrong, Jr. M.D. Marcia graduated from Clear Creek High School and the University of Texas with Honors. She was a pharmacist in the Port Arthur/Beaumont area and retired in 2014. Marcia is survived by her Mother, Doris Armstrong of Beaumont; sister, Jennifer Armstrong of Houston; and her beloved black Labrador, Sarge.

Marcia was married to the late Mike Szewczyk from 1986 until 1998. She was married to the late Sam Boaze from 2005 until he died in 2014.

Marcia enjoyed scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, cooking, gardening, decorating, crochet, chili cook-offs, and animals especially cats and dogs.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel.
