Margaret Morrell Lucia

Margaret Morrell Lucia, 92, of Orange, died Monday, August 27, 2007, at her residence.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2007, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo assisted by Reverend Jim McClintock.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Lucia was born December 29, 1914, in Bryan, TX to Frank Morrell and Jennie Zummo Morrell. Mrs. Lucia was self employed as a grocery store owner and was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church and of the LaDonna Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael M. Lucia, Sr.; brothers, Paul Morrell, Vick Morrell and Pete Morrell; sisters, Josie Bonura, Jeannie Palermo, Lottie Lupo, Mary Jones and Frances Mitchell.

She is survived by her daughter, Mikki Lucia, son, Samuel F. Lucia and wife Judy, daughter, Margaret Ann Duchamp and husband Charles, son, Mike Lucia and wife Cindy, all of Orange; grandchildren, David Lucia and wife Sandra, Jason Lucia, Erin Lucia, Charles Duchamp III and wife Joanna, Margaret Michelle Duchamp, Andrew Duchamp and wife Charlotte, Michael M. Lucia III, Angela Lucia, Bobby Calhoun and Amanda Calhoun; great grandchildren, Maggie Lucia, Andi Lucia, Laura Eatmon, Sam J. Lucia, Abigail Duchamp and Cyrus Griffin.

The family wishes to extend their love and special thanks to her caregiver, Bea Chesson.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Lucia, Jason Lucia, Charles Duchamp III, Andrew Duchamp, Michael M. Lucia III and Anthony Lucia Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary?s Catholic School Foundation, 912 W. Cherry Ave., Orange, TX, 77630-5017.
