Margaret Shaw

Margaret Shaw, 82, of Bridge City passed away on November 17, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home's temporary location at 1408 W. Park Ave in Orange. Rev. Steve Leger of St. Henry's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Mrs. Shaw was born on December 2, 1925, in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada to Patrick and Bridget Travers. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time in her garden and to sew. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Cyril and her sister, Winnie.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Shaw of Bridge City; her children, Edward W. Shaw and wife Annette of Orange; Carolyn Hunt and husband Alan of Amman, Jordan; Debbie Arvesen and husband Bill of Arlington; Phyllis M. Shaw of Arlington; Charles D.Warner and wife Karen of Bridge City; James A. Shaw and wife Nancy of Houston; Robert D. Shaw and wife Suzanne of Orange; Sharon L Nequent and husband Philip of Cypress; and 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chase Warner, Marc Shaw, Garrett Shaw, Colton Shaw, Dustin Shaw and Eric Nequent. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Shaw and Cody Nequent.
