Margaret Dunlevy Dal Sasso

Margaret Dunlevy Dal Sasso, of Orange passed away Monday, January 23, 2012, peacefully at home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard H. Dunlevy and Mary Alice Kennedy Dunlevy; her husband, Anton Tony Dal Sasso; and her brother, Bernard J. Jerry Dunlevy. Margaret was born in Brattleboro, Vermont. She attended St. Mary's College in Manchester, New Hampshire and was a dietician at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Upon meeting and marrying Tony in Houston, she moved to Orange and raised her daughter, Chrisleigh. She was an active member of the Service League of Orange managing the toy board for children in the emergency room at Orange Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed playing golf, reading, the Orange Public Library and the La Donna Club years ago. She also enjoyed spending time with her dearest friend, Elizabeth Williams.

Margaret is survived by he daughter, Chrisleigh Dal Sasso; grandchildren, Madelyn Margaret Mellen and Austin Mellen; her niece, Katharine Dunlevy Seeds of West Chester, Pennsylvania; and nephew, Matthew Dunlevy of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her first cousin, Margaret Peggy Walsh of Edgewater, Florida.

Special thanks to Dr. Michael Hsu, Dr. Steven Mazzola, Dr. Miguel Castellanos, their wonderful staffs, and the River City Hospice Group. Also, the family would like to thank Dr. Howard C. Williams for his continued support of our family.

A memorial gathering will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

Those who wish may also make memorial contributions to St. Mary's School Foundation, 2600 Bob Hall Road, Orange, Texas.
