Marion June Verrett

Marion June Sandquist Verrett, 84, of Orange, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Father Joseph Daleo. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, as well as 5:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on June 21, 1928, June was the daughter of Uno Alexander Nils Sandquist and Julia Babuka Sandquist. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Mary's Altar Society, St. Mary's Choir, and the St. Mary's Angel Choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Joseph Verrett; infant son, David Charles Verrett; son, Thomas Mark Verrett; daughter-in-law, Annette M. Thibodeaux Verrett; son-in-law, Walter L. Potter; and brother, Arnie Sandquist.

June is survived by her children, Jimmy Verrett and wife Daina of Orange, Linda Vercher and husband Paul Jr. of West Orange, Mary Potter of Arlington, Leo Verrett and wife Sharon of Corpus Christi, and Carol Cunningham and husband Sam of Allen.

She is also survived by her nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and sister, Maya Baird of Port Coquitlan, B.C., Canada.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jimmy Verrett, Leo Verrett, Paul Vercher, Jr., Sam Cunningham, Chris Verrett, Jason Vercher, Robert Vercher, and Brian McCorvy. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Verrett, Frank Virva, Steven Potter, Dan Dumas, Frank Virva, Jr., Travis Verrett, Jared Verrett and Logan Verrett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School, 2600 Bob Hall Road, Orange, TX 77630.

Aunt June and Uncle Earl always made you feel totally at home while in their home, and I always enjoyed our family visiting their family. The Verrett/Dumas bond was quite strong between our 2 familes, which is evident in the fact that we called them "Aunt##imported-begin##Danise Armstrong##imported-end##
