Funeral services for Marjorie Goza Applebach, 82, will be held on Saturday July 7, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will be Thursday, July 6 from 6-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Applebach was born on December 25, 1924 in Beaumont, TX and passed away on

July 3, 2007 after a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of Beaumont, and a graduate of South Park High School, Margie was a devoted mother and housewife.

An avid bridge player, Margie learned her skill many years ago while living for a time in Mersin, Turkey during her husband?s overseas assignment with Mobil Oil. Margie is a longstanding member of the Beaumont Womens Club where she enjoyed the fellowship of the craft and gourmet departments. As a faithful member of St. Paul?s United Methodist Church, Margie was a constant fixture on Thursday games days.

Proceeded in death by her husband Varge Mike Applebach and grandson Brandon

Applebach, Margie is survived by her sons John Applebach and wife Jamie of Orange, TX and Gary Applebach and wife Connie of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Nathan and Morgan Applebach of Orange, TX and Zachary and Jeffrey Applebach of Houston. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons, Nathan Applebach, Zachary Applebach and Jeffrey Applebach; nephews, Billy Goza and James Goza; cousin Dr. John White; and friends, Robert Ammerman and James Linscomb. Honorary pallbearers are R.L. Scottie Collins and nephews, Mike Hayes and Jim Goza.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory through St. Paul?s United Methodist Church, Beaumont, TX or to a charity of your choice.
