Marshall L. Womack, Jr.

1943 ∼ 2007

Marshall L. Womack, Jr.

Funeral services for Marshall of Wildwood, TX, will be on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Saturday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marshall was born May 26, 1943, in Tohoka, TX to Marshall and Glaydus Womack and passed away on December 5, 2007, in Beaumont, TX.

Marshall was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and had many interests. He was a member of the Cowboy Harley Motorcycle Club and a Master Mason. He was a private pilot who flew fixed wing planes and was helicopter rated. Mr. Womack was a former Port Arthur police officer and a lieutenant in the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

He will be remembered as a great joke teller who enjoyed time with his family, camping, four wheeler mudding with his grandchildren, and singing and playing guitar.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Dovie and Marcelle. He is survived by his wife Maxine; son Mike and wife Sherrie of Magnolia, TX; daughter Susan Renee Womack of Wildwood; grandchildren Ashleigh and Joshua Womack and Hannah, Marina, and Hart Bassana; brother Billy and his wife Mildred of Orange, and sister Geraldine Henry of Texas City, TX.

He has left us with a lifetime of wonderful memories and will be dearly missed.
