Martha Jean Tutt

Martha Jean Tutt, 75, of Beaumont went peacefully to be with her Lord and family on October 19th, 2010. Martha was born on July 6th, 1935 in Town Bluff, Texas, to Mavie Holmes Blankenship and Warren Blankenship. Martha Jean was the youngest of 7 children. The family moved to Spurger when she 3 and she enjoyed a very happy childhood in the East Texas country side. Martha attended Spurger School grades 1 thru 12. She was a Good student and very athletic. She especially loved basketball and bowling. After graduating from Spurger High School she met and Married the Love of her life Carlos Tutt. They had one child Kimberly Ann Tutt. Martha and Carlos loved to dance and formed a Dance Club called "Belles and Beaus" of which her sister Jeanette and her husband Pete were also members. After graduating Business College she went to work in the Oil industry as a Secretary. Martha loved her work at Sun Oil Corporation and coordinated many events for them. She loved her work so much that after retiring she continued to coordinate a yearly banquet. The joy of her life was raising her Grandson Brian after the untimely passing of her daughter Kimberly Ann.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Carlos Brian Tutt, daughter Kimberly Ann Tutt, sisters Aline Blankenship, Gussie Daigle and Jeanette Walp, brothers Orville, J.W. and Harvey Blankenship.

Those left to cherish the warmth of her memory are her Grandson Joseph Brian Duke of Beaumont, TX, her nieces Joyce Cooley of Bernie, TX, Tammy Walp-Stout of Dallas, TX, Jana Walp of Austin, TX, nephews Carl Ray Flowers of Houston, TX, Ray Flowers of San Jose, CA, John Daigle of Tomball, TX, Harvey Wayne Blankenship and Dirk Blankenship of Beaumont, TX.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday October 22nd, 2010 at Claybar Kelly-Watkins funeral home on 11th Street in Beaumont, TX.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Claybar Kelly-Watkins on Saturday October 23rd, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery near Woodville, TX with a short service at 3:30 p.m.
