Marvin James Price, Jr.

Marvin James "Bubba" Price, Jr., 58, of Mauriceville, died Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Graveside funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City, with the Reverend John Jones, pastor of Jade Ave. Baptist Church in Port Acres, officiating.

Military Honors will be provided by Southeast Texas Veteran's Service Group.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Port Arthur on February 22, 1951, Bubba was the son of Nettie Christine and Marvin James Price, Sr.

He was an auto technician and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bubba is survived by his wife, Myra Price of Mauriceville; children, Lee Brasher and his wife, Kerri, of Arlington, Marvin James Price, III of Houston, Amy Trahan and Kenneth Price, both of Orange.

Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Anita East of Hemphill, Carolyn Bailey of Port Arthur, Becky Collins and her husband, Joe, of Baytown, Stacy and Michael Stewart of Hemphill, Shannon Price and Christina Price of Pt Acres, Curtis Price and his wife, Bridgette, of Port Acres and six grandchildren, Kevin, Brittney, Dylan and Dustin Brasher, Brooklyn Thompson and Madison Trahan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Manasco, Thomas O'Neil, Blake Girlinghouse, Matthew Bailey, Nate Carlin and Greg Richards.

Honorary pallbearer will be Bob Bridges.

I don't know how to put this but Bubba was like a second dad to me We had lots of fun times he was the only grandpaw figure Michelle every had without him she would have never known what having a pawpaw was like Myra I love you all I will be here for yo##imported-begin##melissa##imported-end##
