Mary Alice Martin

Mary Alice Martin went to be with the Lord at 1:35 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007, at the age of 80.

Funeral service will be at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange on Monday, October 15, 2007, at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Autumn Oaks Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be at Claybar Funeral Home from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Mary was born in Livingston, TX to W. L. and Emma Rogers on March 13, 1927.

She was happily married to her loving and devoted husband, Dan Thomas Tommy Martin, Jr. for 61 years. They lived most of their adult lives in Orange, TX. They have four children. The youngest child, David Martin of Austin is deceased. Also preceding her in death are her brother, W. L. Rogers, Jr. and her parents.

Surviving children and their spouses are Gary T.Martin and his wife Carolyn of Orange, Kitty Ryan and her husband Jody of Orange, and Tommy R. Martin and his wife Natalie of Orange. The surviving grandchildren are, Thomas Martin, Kimberly Peveto, Cody Ryan, Adam Martin, Tiffany Martin, and Amy Martin all of Orange. Surviving great grandchildren are Brennan Peck, Emily and Ethan Martin and Rylee, Elyse, and Dallas Martin also of Orange. Also surviving are her brothers, Clyde Rogers and Ray Rogers.

Mary lived a full life. She was a dear wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

She was the owner and operator of Peter Pan Child Care in Little Cypress for 25 years.

Our comfort is in knowing she is a child of God and we will one day be united in Heaven.
