Mary Anderson Bruce, 89, of Beaumont, a former resident of Orange, died Monday, October 27, 2008, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Friends are cordially invited to a memorial visitation on Thursday, October 30th, from 5:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. at the temporary location of Claybar Funeral Home, 1408 W. Park Ave., in Orange.

Born in Brownsville on February 28, 1919, she was the daughter of Andrew E. and Ida O'Dell Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Bruce was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Graham Bruce, granddaughter, Shelley Bruce Lane de Courtin, and daughter-in-law, Dena Bruce. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Bruce Provost of Beaumont; son and daughter-in-law, David A. and Kathy Bruce of Beaumont; son, Stephen Graham Bruce of Austin; sisters, Katherine Reed of Brownsville, Bettie Jackson of El Paso; grandchildren, C.G. Gray Bell, W.A. Andy Bell, Robin Bruce and step-granddaughter, Clara Wood.
