Mary Ilene Fontenot

Mary Ilene Fontenot, 58, of Bridge City, passed on Friday, February 5, 2010 surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Pastor George Cruse, Jr.

Family will receive guests to celebrate her life from 5:00 p.m. till the time of service.

Mary was born on July 24, 1951 in Orange. She was the daughter of Earl "Monk" and Juanita Critz Goodman who preceded her in death.

She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Sheree Fontenot; and sister, Anita Scott.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Huel Fontenot of Bridge City; daughters, Amy Michelle Hanks and husband, Chad of College Station and Donna Grisham of Temple; son, Randall Fontenot and wife, Diane of Copperas Cove; grandchildren, Collier Hanks, Randy Fontenot, Jr., Grant Fontenot, Carla Grisham, Christi Grisham, and Dustin Grisham; brothers, James Goodman and Carl Goodman; sister, Bonnie Rogers; and many other cherished family and friends.

Mary was employed as the front end manager at Market Basket in Bridge City for many years, where she built many lasting relationships. She loved to bowl and loved her grandson dearly. Mary's best friend was her daughter, Amy.

Honorary pallbearers are Cookie Scott, Nick Esparza, Randy Fontenot, Jr., Grant Fontenot, Scott Goodman, and Dustin Grisham.
