Mary Ireland, 88, of Beaumont, passed away on October 4, 2016, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church in Beaumont.
Born in Faulk, AR, on September 3, 1928, she was the daughter of Doyle Conrad and Mary Ann Dodd. She grew up in East Texas and graduated from Carlisle High School. She worked at JC Penny in downtown Houston, met Charles Willis Ireland there and married on April 11, 1948.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Willis Ireland; children, C. Michael and wife, Linda of Beaumont, Pamela Lynn Cone and husband, Dr. Terry Cone of Columbus, GA, Danna Kay Tuttle and husband, Terry of Bertram, TX, and Elizabeth Ann Sladaritz and husband, Tom of Beaumont; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.
