Mary Lee Soffes

Mary Lee Holland Soffes, 74, of Port Arthur, TX passed away on June 18, 2009 in Beaumont. She was born on August 30, 1934 in Beaumont, to William Arthur and Maggie Lee Holland.

Mrs. Soffes was a member of West End Baptist church; owned her own beauty shop and also, worked as a waitress. She always had a beautiful home and gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Spero Soffes. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mike Soffes, Ike Soffes, Pandy Chamberlain, Tim Soffes, and Penny Lozano; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and special friend, Michael T. Hill.

Cremation will be under the care of Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home and a private family service was held.

"Praise the Lord" as Mary would greet you with. Only knew her a short time and this was all by phone and letters. The women was amazing while I knew her, I will miss her, but I am sure rejoicing like all the angels, that she is now resting along side Jesu##imported-begin##Nery Soffes##imported-end##
