Mrs. Mary Lou Wheeler Prichard passed away February 3, 2017 at her home in Hillister, Texas. She was born February 11, 1935 in Glen Flora, Texas to James Fredrick and Willie Mae Wheeler. When Mary Lou and her husband, Alfred, moved to Hillister 36 years ago she began working as the secretary at Hillister Baptist Church.

Mrs. Prichard was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, W. B. Wheeler and Thomas W. Wheeler and her sister, Ruth Ann Wheeler. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Alfred Prichard; daughter, Shirley Hall of Claremore, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Lovette Rausch and her husband, Troy of Harrah, Oklahoma; grandson, Cory Hall; and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Caleb Rausch and Gabe and Lucy Hall. She is also survived by her brother, James Wheeler, and his wife, Debbie, of Lumberton, Texas and nieces, Tonya Wheeler, of Kountze, Denise Maddox and husband, Troy, of Port Arthur, Kristina Wheeler of Plano, Texas and Katie Hancock and her husband, Josh, of Willow Park, Texas.

Services for Mrs. Prichard will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont. There will be a gathering of family and friends at 10 a.m. with a celebration of her life to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas.
