Mary M. Potts-Oglesbee

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Mary M. Potts-Oglesbee on Friday, December 7, 2007, at 2:00 p.m.in the St. Anne Catholic Church with interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, at the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home between 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Potts-Oglesbee was born on September 13, 1935, in Beaumont, TX to Franklin Bernard and Marie Palique and passed away on December 4, 2007 in Beaumont, TX.

She will be remembered as a patient, caring and giving woman. She was a loving and devoted mother who raised eight children and was considered the ?neighborhood mom?. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing bingo and above all, spending time with family. She was a devoted Christian.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Sonny Palique, sister, Doris Palique and son, Randy Oglesbee. Those left to cherish her memory include her eight children, William Oglesbee and Richard Oglesbee both of Crystal Beach, Kathy Lee of Colorado Springs, CO, Sandra Lee Harrell of Elgin, TX, Joseph Oglesbee of Lumberton, TX, George Allen Oglesbee and wife, Tina of Lumberton, TX, Leslie Marie Sager of Lumberton, and Jeffrey Hammond and wife, Michelle of Lumberton; thirteen grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Wells of Beaumont, Dorothy Tortoris and husband, Melvin of Vidor, Rita Hunt of Vidor and Katherine Curtice and husband, Morton of Beaumont.

I AM SO SORRY TO READ THAT MYRTLE HAS DIED. I KNOW SHE HAS GONE TO A BETTER PLACE AND IS NOW WITH OUR LORD.
