To My beautiful momma, it’s been 2 weeks since I last saw your pretty smile. I think of you all the time, remembering all the kind words and deeds that you spoke of and experienced in life. I see you and dad every morning when I wake up, your picture is on my nightstand, and every night when I turn off my lamp for the night. Momma tonight, Willy our 4 legged baby had enough of this earthly place and decided it was time to come see you. I pray you were there to welcome him and make him feel right at home. It has been an extremely difficult night, however he is no longer in any pain. Please watch over him for us, like you and dad did for our beautiful Nick. I love you, and don’t worry about daddy. I call him every night and make sure he is ok. Good night momma, Rest In Peace, and I will see you tomorrow......SCH

Mary Louise Parsley, or Mema as she was known to me, was the classiest, most glamorous, most well-dressed and perfectly accessorized lady I ever knew. I didn't get to see my mema (grandma) all that often but every time I did, she always spoke of her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My mema is in heaven as I type this, dancing with her Savior, no more hip pain, as young and beautiful as she always was, just rejoicing with her family and waiting for the rest of us. She will be so missed here on earth but I rejoice with her, knowing how perfectly happy she is in her new home. I love you, mema and I can't wait to be reunited in our permanent home of heaven with you.

Mary Louise Parsley was a kind and loving lady. She shared her life with many people, but predominantly with Glenn M. Parsley, her loving husband of 72 years. In addition to Glenn, her favorite son was Jerry L. Parsley and her favorite daughter was Susan C. Parsley Hoyt, my wife of 45 years. I had the privilege to know her and participate in her life for over 50 years, as she was my mother-in-law. I never saw her without a smile on her face – a genuine smile that showed she was truly happy to see you. She had many interests and joys in her life include seeing her family and in particular her grandchildren. I have many fond memories of being with her and Glenn at their cabin on Crystal Beach and at Walden on Lake Conroe where other Parsley’s might congregate. She would make the best gumbo and chicken and dumplings that I have ever eaten, among other things. Glenn and Mary Louise took many RV trips to Colorado where she would collect rocks, shells and similar items to commemorate their trips together. She loved to be outdoors walking on the beach or fishing on the lake. She loved all cats and dogs with a special attachment to Brandi her first and favorite Yorkshire Terrier and Mimi, their cat of 26 years. They always had animals that became part of their family. While the reality of her absence is impossibly sad to contemplate, she is gone now but will never be forgotten. A joyous day is coming when we will all see her and other loved ones again.
