Mary Sue Gunn

Sue Gunn 94, of Orange, died Monday, April 30, 2007 at Harbor Hospital in Orange.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2007, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo.

Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Mrs. Gunn was born February 5, 1913, in Crowley, LA, to Leo and Sarah Fontenot Carlin.

Mrs. Gunn was an active part of the Gunn Studio family business, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and a founding member of The Catholic Daughters, St. Mary Parish.

Mrs. Gunn was preceded in death by her husband, T. L. Gunn Jr., son Buzzie Gunn, and infant daughter Sharon Ann Gunn. She is survived by her son Thomas L. Gunn III and wife Joan Mortimer Gunn of Orange, daughter in law Dayle Foreman Gunn of Orange; seven grandchildren: Debbie Moreau, Connie Gray, Tommy Gunn IV, Mike Gunn, Chris Gunn, Lacey Hale, and Bridget Toohey; thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Ruby King of Kingston, NC, special niece Cheryl Williams of Lafayette, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Gunn IV, Chris Gunn, Jet Toohey, Mike Gray, Dal Moreau, and Nelson Toups.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Gray, Ryan Moreau, Jeremy Gray, Anthony Gunn, Vinny Hale and Mike Gunn.

Aunt Sue, I love you so much. I have many wonderful memories of being with you in the summers as I was growing up. Maureen says that as I get older I look more like you. You will be my special angel. I'll miss you. My kids will pray for you tomorrow.##imported-begin##Pam Gay##imported-end##
