Mary Alice Smith Corry, 80, passed away peacefully Friday, March 18, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary enjoyed a long full life and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was born September 25, 1930, in Honey Island, Texas, to Martin and Katie Emma Smith. Mary lived most of her life in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She moved to Pearland, Texas in 2005 with her devoted husband Levell Corry, to be close to her children and grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her loving husband Levell Corry; daughter, Brenda Granger and husband, Arnold; daughter, Sandra Dobson and husband, Randy, all of Pearland, Texas; and daughter, Katie Hebert and husband Byron of Cypress, Texas. Grandchildren include Brandon Scott Mitchell and wife Tara, Allison Gibson, Jennifer Hebert, Ellen Hebert, Sara Dobson, and Corry Dobson. Great grandchildren include Jason Gibson, Benjamin Mitchell, and Kate Mitchell. She is also survived by two sisters; Barbara Weeks and Sadie Welch, in addition to two brothers, Frank Smith and Arnold Smith, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and lifelong friends.

A viewing will be held Monday, March 21, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 PM with services held Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Claybar Funeral Home located at 504 N. 5th, Orange, Texas 77630. P 409.886.4445.

Interment will follow at Prien Memorial Park, 2220 Country Club Road, Lake Charles, Louisiana, 70605.
