Meinrad Fillop, 61, of Orange, died May 18, 2009.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 23 2009 at the Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Meinrad was born on August 15, 1947, in Kitzbühel, Austria to John Peter and Christina Wolenofer Fillop. He was a Director of Maintenance-Physical Plant for Lamar State College-Orange since 1985. He also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Peter Fillop and sister Blanche Fillop.

Survivors include his mother, Christina Fillop; former spouse, Judy Fillop-McClendon; daughters, Shelly Sullivan and her husband Luke, Sally Hamilton-Shellhammer and her husband Brady; grandchildren, Tanner and Kendall Sullivan, and Macy and Madelyn Hamilton; brothers, John, Frank, Steve, Tony, and Chris Fillop; sisters, Ulanda and Anna Fillop, Rita Nugent, and Julie Cope.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his brothers and Lamar State College-Orange family.
