Michael A. Dodge

Michael A. "Mountain Man" Dodge, 58, of Orange, passed on Sunday, March 29, 2009.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Brother Billy Lawson of Family Worship Center. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Michael was born on May 19, 1950 in Greybull, Wyoming. He was an iron worker and rigger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorrie Jean Dodge; granddaughters, Bryann Martinez, Bryleigh Moore; and grandparents, Gordon and Dorris Millard.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael and Jennifer Dodge of Ponder, TX, Joseph and Anna Martinez of San Antonio, Jeremy and Veronica Martinez of San Antonio, Jacob Dodge of Orangefield; daughter, Jamie and Chris Moore of Bridge City; twelve grandchildren; girlfriend, Brenda Langford of Kountze; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Bonnie Epling of Topeka, Kansas; sister-in-law, Suzy Frost of Orangefield; several other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mountain Man you will be missed. Your walk and your talk gave you away without seeing your face. Hawkeye will miss you as will I.
