Michael Murray, 62, of Port Neches, was born May 14, 1954 in Port Arthur and passed away September 13, 2016 in Beaumont.

He was a kind and loving person with a huge heart. Although he was a big, strong man he was very sensitive to other people’s needs and feelings.

Michael spent most of his adult life near the water as he was a shrimper and had several friends in the fishing and shrimping industry. Michael will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Wanda Murray; sister, Rhonda Landry; nephew, Chas Prestil; and future brother-in-law, Deen Brown.

Michael I will always remember you as my big strong protective brother. Whenever somebody was picking on me or trying to hurt me there you were making sure that I was safe. I will never forget that as long as I live. I know you have a special place in the Heart of Jesus and I will meet you at the Pearly Gates one day. I will always love you Michael and I will dearly miss you. I wish I could have Bought you one more Whataburger. I loved doing that for you. Sleep now with the angels guarding your side.
