Mildred Granger Saucier

Mildred Granger Saucier, 88, of Orange, Texas died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at her home with Dianne Bankston and family by her side.

A memorial visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Speakers will be Jensen Ritter, Slade Hunt, and Dan Lynd. Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 19, 1923, Mildred came to Orange in the early 1940's. She was the daughter of Martha Bray. She was a business woman, owner and operator of Mildreds Party Time Lounge for 45 years. She was a lifetime member of several organizations, including the American Legion and the VFW. She was also a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, serving numerous times as President.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John C. Granger; grandson, "Bubba" Ritter; son-in-law, Gerald Ritter; and brother, Ottis Pair.

Mildred is survived by her husband, James J. Saucier; daughters, Sandi Ritter of Bridge City, and Kathy Lynd of Orange; grandchildren and their spouses, Johnna Brown, Rhonda and Willie Fenton, Shandi and Clayton Harrison, Newly and Carrie Hunt, Slade "Tater" and Katie Hunt; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many devoted friends including Barbara Vickery, Dianne Bankston, Maidell Scales, and Juanita Zavala.

The family would also like to give a special thanks to Gulf Health Care in Groves, The Meadows in Orange, and Odyssey Hospice.
