Mildred Pollard Harris

Mildred P. Harris, 92, was born December 23, 1918 in Henderson, TX to Daniel and Kizzie Pollard and passed away on October 22, 2011 in Beaumont. She lived in Logansport, LA prior to relocating in Beaumont about 18 years ago.

Funeral services will take place Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 am at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Betar of Forest Park United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Center, TX. A gathering of friends and family will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6:00 ? 8:00 pm.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her sons; Cleon B. Harris and wife, Carolyn of Broussard, LA., Eddie W. Harris and wife, Cynthia of Beaumont, TX; daughter, Linda K. Loudon of Austin, TX; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother and numerous nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Harris, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 grandson.
