Mollie Evonne Dorrell

Mollie E. Dorrell, 84, passed away May 17, 2013 in Beaumont, Texas. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jay Dorrell, and his wife, Ginger; son, Larry Dorrell and Luz; daughter, Kathi Hill, and her husband, Glen; and son, Randy Dorrell and his wife, Sharon.

She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Jennifer Dorrell, Staci Davis, Jessica Dorrell, Nicholas Dorrell, Kasi Sarver, J.C. Hill, and Randy Dorrell, Jr., her seven loving great-grandchildren, two brothers, Al Snider, and Herman Snider; one sister, Amanda Small; along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, family, friends, and her loving pet, Katy.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.C.Dorrell Jr.; one sister, Ethel Lowe; three brothers, Jesse B. Snider, Aupo Snider, and Elmer Snider; one great-grandson, Little J.C. Hill; as well as her mother, Lillie Pearl Snider Lane; and father, Arthur Asbury Snider.

Mollie loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her favorite things to do included playing cards with her friend, Will Carr, and going to the "boat". She loved "winning" and rarely ever lost at the "boat"! Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her precious pet, Katy.

The best way to remember "Granny" is by following her advice to "forgive people so you can keep on keeping on". The memory of her loving and charismatic nature will forever live on with those who knew her.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the funeral home.

I loved your mom and she was such a sweet lady. She was always so nice and I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a client/friend of mine and I thought about her often after leaving the investment business and also wondered how she and your dad were. God ##imported-begin##Winona Stark ##imported-end##
