It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mona Walden, who left us on July 25, 2026, in Beaumont, TX. Mona was born on October 1, 1955, in Eunice, Louisiana.
Mona was truly one of a kind, known for her eccentric, vivacious, and headstrong spirit. She lived life on her own terms and left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. She found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was listening to Christian talk radio, spending time writing, or soaking up the sun. Music was a constant companion, especially tunes featuring the organ or electric keyboard, with favorites like “Funky Town”, “Tainted Love” and “Draggin the Line” playing as she danced around her home with a hairbrush as her microphone.
Mona had a remarkable knack for beautifully wrapping gifts, making every present feel extra special. Her memory for birthdays was legendary, and her calligraphic writing was a true art. Above all, Mona was a dedicated prayer warrior, offering strength and comfort to many through her unwavering faith. She always had a special place in her heart for Monterey House, a favorite spot for many happy memories.
Mona's legacy lives on through her children, Sabrina Walden and Shannoah Dupuis. She was a cherished grandmother to April, Katlyn, Kyla, and Cody. She is also survived by her dear family members, Sandra and Marlo Dupuis.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Laura Dupuis; her father, Elwood Dupuis; and her brothers, Glenn Dupuis and Keith Dupuis, who we are sure welcomed her with open arms.
