Dearest family, I met Red when I worked as the Ticket Manager for Lamar's Athletic Department in the Montagne Center. He was the kindest man and what a supporter of Lamar Athletics. He and Aubrey fed me at almost every baseball game. He was tailgating before most people knew what the word was. You could count on Red and he was always there when you needed him. He was a truly great man and will be missed my many. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family. Valarie F. Randall

What a friend he was to Lamar athletics especially the girls basketball team. For 14 years Jimmy and I looked forwared to seeing Red's contagious smile at all the games. Win or lose you could count on him to be there because he really cared about those coaches and kids. I learned a lot form his constance presence and support. He will greatly missed at court side but he played the game of life well and has won the ultimate goal! The Heavenly Court! Bet they have lots of free cokes and win all the games! Susan and Jimmy Simmons.
