Nadine Wesley Follis Wiggins Sterling Hester was born December 18, 1931in Webster, TX to Reverend Bennie B. and Sadie Woodyard Follis and passed away April 3, 2013 at her residence in Beaumont. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, April 8, 2013 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Robert Turnage and Reverend Charles Turnage. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. A gathering of friends and family will be 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, April 7 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hester was a resident of Beaumont for over 50 years and was employed as a cashier at Gibsons prior to retiring.
She is survived by her son, Arnold Wiggins; daughters, Karon Oropeza and her husband, Arthur, Beverly McKenzie and Sheila Oropeza and her husband, Norm; sister, Marilyn Durham and husband, Herbert; grandchildren, Jaron and Logan Gaus, Bridgette Harris, Wesley Oropeza, Brandace and Paige McKenzie, Octavia Oropeza, Aisha Billiet, Brittany Hurst, Allie, Stephanie and Jonathan Oropeza; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Sirrom, Michelle, Javier, Daniel, Cheyenne, Devon, Amaya, King, Jayden, Ryan, Annon and Ezak and a great-great grandchild, Olivia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her son, George Leo Wiggins Lee Gaus; husbands, L.A. Wiggins Sr., J. R. Sterling, Stamps W. Hester; her parents; brother, Bennie R. Follis; grandchild, Candace Harris and great-grandchildren, Josie and Toby Wood.
