Nelda Hollie Lambright, 87, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on August 20, 2024.
Funeral services will be August 23, 2024, 2:00 PM, at Rosedale Baptist Church, located at 7110 Concord Rd, Beaumont, TX 77708. Officiating will be Reverend Steve Ford of Rosedale Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be August 23, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Rosedale Baptist Church.
Born in Dequincy, Louisiana, on September 13, 1936, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Ada Hollie. Nelda married Leonard Lambright on December 15, 1960, a union that exemplified love and partnership. Throughout her life, Nelda found joy in simple pleasures. She loved gumbo, flowers, letting her creative side flourish as she made beautiful baby quilts, and she spent many years bowling in a bowling league. Nelda will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the laughter of her family, the beauty of her quilts, and the memories they created together. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and compassion that will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Lambright; her parents, Gilbert and Ada Hollie; her siblings, Louie “son” Hollie, Huey "Hootie" Hollie, Louise Deshotel, and Jerry Hollie; and her son-in-law, John Trahan.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Neff and husband John Sr., Mary Lewis and husband Richard, and Brenda Trahan; her grandchildren, Teri Neff Calloway, John Neff, Jr., Wesley Barefield, Greg Barefield, Chyvonne Angelle, Elisha Brenham, and Chelsie Trahan; and her great grandchildren, Acelyn Calloway, Jax Calloway, Kennedy Neff, Cayse Neff, Callen Angelle, Addison Angelle, Lane Angelle, Nickolas Angelle, Aden Brenham, Rhede Branch, Sawyer Hebert, and Everett Hebert.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Neff, Jr., Nickolas Angelle, Aden Angelle, Mark Castille, Justin Hartwick, and David Cloud.
