Neta Wyn Harris, 83, of Kountze, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2019, at Kountze Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Barge Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Cary Modisett.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont, Texas.

Raised in Zavalla, Angelina County, Texas, on May, 20, 1935, she was the daughter of Robert Weaver and Odessa (Fridell) Weaver. Neta had a huge heart, and was known for her loving and compassionate spirit. She was a Sunday school teacher, and sang in her church choir- enjoying every moment she was able to share her love of God. Neta enjoyed shopping and loved basketball. She was a nurturing mother, a kind grandmother, and a wonderful great-grandmother. Neta will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Harris; daughter, Suzanne Harris Garner; and brother, Bobby Elton Weaver Sr.

She is survived by her son Robert Darrel & wife Kathy Harris of Kountze, Texas; grand-daughters, Candace & Bryce Bishop of Beaumont, Texas, Kindell & Ryan Dennis of Lumberton, Texas, Kyleigh Garner of Houston, Texas, Amanda & Johnny Rice of Lumberton, Texas and Courtney & Christopher Malone of Deer Park, Texas;

8 Great-Grandchildren, Evelyn Harris, Jhett Dennis, Mylee Dennis, Hayden Tucker, Grayson Tucker, Weston Rice, Hallie Rice and Kenedi Carroll; along with numerous nieces & nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Weaver Jr. Bryce Bishop, Lenn Runnels, Mike Weaver and Richard Runnels.

Darrel, my deepest sympathy to you during this sad time of the loss of you Mother, an Angel that touched so many lives with her kindness that your Mother shared with so many. To Kathy , all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, rest assured that that your dear love one and Grandmother is with JESUS now. I have so many wonderful memories of the all of the Weaver family from the days of growing up with them as our close neighbor. I think of them often and miss those that have gone on to Heaven to be with their Saviour. Nita was very special and leaves a legacy that will live forever. I am deeply saddened by the news of Neta's passing. She will always hold a special place in my heart. She was always so loving and kind to me and my family when my dad passed away. I was always playing at their house on Buffalo and I would always try to stop to at their home in Zavalla when I would go home from SFA to visit. Susie was like a big sister to me. Neta is a beautiful God-loving woman and friend. She will be missed by all. She is now at peace with Joe and Susie by her side in Heaven. Prayers for all those she has left here on earth.
