Nona Bell Cobble

Nona Bell Cobble, 78, of Sour Lake passed away at her home Tuesday, March 3, 2009.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2009 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cobble was born October 13, 1930 in Westbury to Green Taylor Allen and Lois Rile Guedry Jordan. She was a loving wife and wonderful mother.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Roy and Lois Rile Jordan; father, Green Taylor Allen and brother, J.D. Allen.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James W. Cobble, Sr.; her daughters, Janice Cobble and companion Sandy Stone of League City, Judy Stansbury and husband Daryl of Sour Lake, Peggy Everett and husband Jimmy of China and son, James Cobble Jr. and wife Delese of Keller. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chris Loftin, Laurie Blumanthal, Byron Stansbury and wife, Maegan, Ben Everett, Nick Everett and Trey Cobble; great grandchildren, Ripley Blumanthal and Brooklyn Stansbury; sister, Lois Gregory; brother, Dickie Allen and wife, Betty; step-brother, Doug Goerner and family; sister-in-law, Darlene Munson and family; brother-in-law, J.C. Cobble and family and many other family and friends who love her dearly.
