Noreen Cook

Noreen Cook, 85, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Liberty Healthcare Center in Liberty.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Blackburn of Trinity Baptist Church in Dayton. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, also at the funeral home.

Born in Manning, Texas on January 26, 1926, Noreen was the daughter of James Luther Stuart and Willie Mae Marze. She was a longtime residence of Orange and was involved in numerous activities with the Trinity Baptist Church in Dayton. Noreen also enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her kids and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward C. Cook; and brother, JD Stuart. Noreen is survived by her five sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Ginger Cook of Dayton, Mike and Peggy Cook of Sugarland, Pat and Patty Cook of Orange, Tony and Sophie Cook of Alvarado, and Steve and Susan Cook of Orange.

She is also survived by 38 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and five nieces.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Cook, Tim Cook, Mike Nations, Zacaria Cook, Juan Gonzales and Justin Cook. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Weaver and Frank Huff.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210.
