Ollie Dunkin Thrailkill

Ollie Dunkin Thrailkill, 82, of Orange, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at her residence.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Officiating will be Mr. Barry Jones and Mickey McNamara.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the temporary location of Claybar Funeral Home, 1408 W. Park Ave., the former Park Ave. Methodist Church Building, in Orange.

Born in Lufkin on April 15, 1926, Mrs. Thrailkill was a daughter of Emmett and Allie Welch Dunkin. She was a longtime resident of Orange, a homemaker and had been a member of the 9th and Elm Church of Christ for over 50 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Thrailkill; daughter, Jane Thrailkill; two brothers and three sisters, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Michael Carnley of Orange; grandchildren, Jared Carnley and his wife, Laine, Gary Carnley; and great grandson, Cody Carnley.

Also surviving are her sisters, Pauline Beaird, Jo Hewitt, Ruby Abbey, Augusta Ingram, Sarah McNamara, Fara Doggett; and brothers, Mack Dunkin and George Dunkin.

Pallbearers will be Gary Carnley, Jared Carnley, Mack Dunkin, George Dunkin, Virgil Ingram and Dennis Doggett.

Francis, we are so sorry for your loss. We so admired and loved Sister Ollie. I remember vividly the times she brought us food when I was recovering from my surgery and the times Cliff and I would go by and visit her when we were out visiting members.
