Otis Chester Fisher

Otis Chester Fisher, 84, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Coward officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Chester was born in Beaumont, Texas, May 4, 1925. He was a WWII Navy veteran and worked for Mobil Oil as a machinist and later a supervisor in Beaumont, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. After retirement he enjoyed fishing, planting roses, gardening and enjoyed time with his family.

Chester is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ida Bell Fisher and his sister, Mary Frances Monroe.

He is survived by his son, Otis Fisher, Jr. and wife, Marsha; his daughters, E-Lane Graves and husband, Harold, Connie Travis and husband, Dave, Helen Furlow and husband, Wesley; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Howell Fisher, Jr. and wife, Shirley; sister, E-Lane Langston and husband, Lee and many nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lonnie Furlow, David Travis, Wesley Furlow, Harold Graves, Jim Johnson and Tony Sciple.
