Patricia Ann Taggart, 63, of Orange, died Friday, June 19, 2009 at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Patricia was born on January 3, 1946, in Orange and was the daughter of Jessie Irving and Myrta Lee Nance Smith. She was a retired nurse at Saint Patrick Hospital of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorothy Johnson; and brother, John "Jr." Barnes.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Cordts and her husband Christopher of Houston; son, Murrey Taggart and his wife Angela of Orange; grandchildren, Patrick Taggart, Jessie Cordts, Jace Cordts, Jared Cordts, and Madison Taggart; and brothers, Thomas "Sleepy" Smith, J.W. Smith, and Billy Joe Smith.
