Patrick Hodge Miller Jr.

1932 ∼ 2021

Patrick H. Miller, Jr., 89, of Beaumont, passed away on October 12, in Beaumont.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 25, 1932, he was the son of Patrick Miller, Sr. and Margaret (Huber) Miller. Patrick leaves us with remembrance of his love of art and the joy he found in painting. Efforts of his talent graced his home and those of friends and family. His puckish wit and sense of humor were a trademark. Those who knew Pat recognized him as a “do anything” type of individual. Indeed, he never encountered a project he would not attempt – from building a brick wall to digging an entire swimming pool, one wheelbarrow at a time! He was resourceful and energetic, gregarious yet shy, gentlemanly yet prone to debate, and had a willful determination known to most. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Margaret Miller; his loving wife, Robin Reagan Miller; and his sister, Patricia Miller Williams.

He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Miller of Houston and Melissa Sipos with husband Patrick of New Orleans; grandchildren, Emily Sipos and Molly Sipos; nephew, Maurice Williams with husband William Peters of Shreveport; and nieces, Blair Williams of Madrid, New Mexico and Victoria Williams of Joshua Tree, California.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Toni Thomas, for her dedication and care.

An interment service will be held Saturday, December 4 at 3:00 pm in the Columbarium of St. Mark's Episcopal Church at 680 Calder Avenue in Beaumont, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to Shriners Children’s Hospitals or the charity of your choice.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Pat Miller was a member of our Senior Singles dinner group which met at Frankie's for several years and he was a real delight to be around! He had a quick wit and was always a gentleman. I just found out about his passing tonight at our dinner group and it made me very sad. Pat was a decent man in a not so decent world. I will miss him. Godspeed, Pat!
