Funeral services for Patsy Elshire Astorga, 71, of Lumberton, will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Marvin Cole will officiate with Pastor Jonathan Elms and Rev. Tim McGraw assisting. Mrs. Astorga will be laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery following the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Daryl Marshall, Bear Landry, Chris McQuhae, Calvin Richard, Mike T. Livingston, and Mike L. Livingston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 27 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Astorga was born on June 24, 1937 in Center, TX to Willie and Ruby Elshire and passed away on August 25, 2008 at her home in Lumberton surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clayton Elshire and Dan Wentworth, and sister, Billie Cravey. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul Astorga, daughters, Kaye Hartman of Lumberton, Lynda Matte of Vidor, and Karla Landry and husband David of Lumberton; son, Daryl Marshall and wife, Susie of Silsbee; and numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and many pets, both hers and others.

I did not know Patsy but a short time when she and Paul came to our church in Sour Lake, but she was a blessing when she sang for us. I know she has been missed, but the Lord can fill you with his peace and his love.##imported-begin##Jeannie Davis##imported-end##
