Pauline Williams

Mary Pauline Williams, 92, of Kountze, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010.

She was born November 28, 1918, in Garrison, Texas, to Will Allen and Erma Lee Stephenson Snelson. In 1933, she married Buford Williams at Stockman, Texas. They had three children and moved to Orange, Texas in 1942, where they owned a grocery store for many years as well as a beauty shop. Pauline moved to Kountze in 2001 and became a member of Kountze Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Williams and wife, Jane of Vidor, Gaylon Williams and wife, Gladys of Kountze; daughter, Cozene Baker and husband, Dwaine of Kountze; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Tony Fitzgerald and Heath Stapleton. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

So many years have gone since the Lord called your name to be with him. My mother “Juanita Stewart” with her 3 kids lived behind you upstairs several times. You were such a special person in my life so many years. I could call and talk with you at anytime about anything. Me and your granddaughters would play in your beauty shop for hours. And play dominoes and cards. Burford taught us well about playing. HA HA… Just thinking about your beautiful soul and also those wonderful homemade biscuits. You are always be with me in my heart. Gaylon and family, OH what memories I have of going to Pauline's Beauty Shop with Mother. You mom was the best and a hoot to be with. Of course I was just a little kid but always enjoyed her so.
