Peggy Simar Rashall

Peggy Simar Rashall, 74, of West Orange, died Monday, February 22, 2010, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange, with Reverend Joseph P. Daleo, pastor, serving as celebrant.

Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Born in Orange on December 21, 1935, she was the daughter of S.C. Simar and Ophelia Gallien Simar Strack.

Mrs. Rashall was a graduate of St. Mary High School; a life long member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was involved in the senior adult group of the church.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, working with her flowers and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Rashall was preceded in death by her parents, S.C. Simar and Ophelia Simar Strack; daughter, Christine Ann Rashall Rhodes; and brother, S. Roy Simar.

She is survived by her husband, Willie R. Rashall of West Orange; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Glenna Rashall of Beaumont, Marty and Beth Rashall of Orange; grandchildren, Shawn Rashall, R.J. Rashall, Jr., Jesse Rashall and his wife, Rikki, Justin R. Rashall, Jenny Marie Rashall and Emily Watson; great grandchildren, Levi Rashall, Jayden Rashall and Liam Rashall.

Also surviving is her sister, Sylvia Mires; brothers, Ray Simar and Bill Simar, all of Orange.

Serving as pallbearers will be R. J. Rashall Jr., Justin R. Rashall, Jesse Rashall, Shawn Rashall, Joe Mires and Wayne Ferguson.
