Penelope Fogal Kelley

Penelope "Penny" Fogal Kelley, 69, of Bridge City, died Thursday, October 29, 2009, in Houston.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Penny was born on February 13, 1940 in Beaumont. She was the daughter of Robert William Fogal, Sr. and Maurine Mitchell Fogal. Penny was full of life, laughter and mischief. She was a free-spirited, fun loving women who adored her children and grandchildren. She loved the beach, sweets, and an interesting array of pets. We will miss her childlike zest for life

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Kelley, Sr.; and grandson, Coltar Kelley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen Kelley Seale of Houston, Melinda Kay Morris and Patrick of San Antonio, TX; Mitzi Kelley Hays and Wade of Orange, Tanya Kelley Guillotte and Greg of Bridge City, Pattie Kelley Simon and Eugene of Beaumont; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald Kelley, Jr. and Leslea of Orange; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Claire Covington and Don of Orange and Pat Hoffpauir of Orange; brother and sister-in-law, R.W. "Sonny" Fogal, Jr. and Jordan of Houston.

Serving as pallbearers are Rhys Wilson, Jerry Kelley, Tyler Hays, Hunter Hays, Cade Kelley, and Conner Guillotte.

Honorary pallbearers are D.J. Seale, Elijah Simon, and Eric Wilson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rosalind Alexander, who has provided our mother with loving companionship as her roommate at Oak Grove Nursing Home.
