Graveside services for Philip David Blackburn, 79, of Lumberton, TX will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010, 11:00 a.m., in Magnolia Cemetery. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Mr. Blackburn was born December 15, 1930 in Beaumont, to Sidney and Gladys Blackburn and passed away on April 17, 2010. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. He retired after 30 years from Mobil Oil

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Sidney, George, Robert, and Joseph. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wylene Blackburn; children, Philip David Blackburn of Kountze, Carolyn Blackburn Charlton and husband, Gerald of Pt. Arthur, Robert Earl Blackburn and wife, Pam of Lumberton, William Patrick Blackburn and wife, Linde of Germany; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
