Preston J. Premeaux, 85, of Orange, Texas, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Harbor Hospital in Orange.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Chaplain Kevin Trinkle of Baptist Hospital Orange.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5-9pm, Friday, also at the funeral home.
Preston was born on April 7, 1924, in Gueydan, Louisiana. He was the son of Freddie and Norma Meyers Premeaux. Preston was a Post Commander for the VFW in Sulphur during the 1970's and was a Navy veteran serving in WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Alberta Premeaux.
Survivors include daughters, Lana Rowe and her husband Gary of Houston, Patricia Johnson and her husband Sonny of Dequincy, LA, Carolyn Penick and her husband Jerry of Orange; son, Kenneth Premeaux of Orange; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Donnie Premeaux of Biloxi, MS; and sisters, Shirley English of Groves, and Dorothy Murphy of North Carolina.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Brandon LeBlanc, John Paul Johnson, Carl Cooley, Lee Foshee, Glen Moore and Henry McDaniel.
