Rachel Jones Brooks

Rachel Jones Brooks, 87, of Beaumont passed away April 19, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive guests from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brooks was born October 1, 1919 in Hardy, AR to the late Johnston and Elizabeth Rogers Jones. She was a devoted member of North End Baptist Church where she was a member of the ?Keenagers? and loved spending time quilting.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Shirley Alexander and husband John L. of Beaumont, Annie Hennington and husband Evan of Auburn, AL, Steve Brooks and wife Dianne of MS, Betty Davalos Snow of Houston; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and brother, Glen Jones of Hardy, AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William A. Brooks; one sister and four brothers.
