Regina Jean Smith

Regina ?Jean? Smith, 75, of Orange passed away Tuesday April 12, 2011 in Beaumont.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday April 15, 2011 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo. Interment will follow at St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Smith was born March 2, 1936. Her parents were Raymond and Azie Lee Webb Williams. She was a homemaker, member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, St. Mary?s Altar Society and the Seniors Group. Jean enjoyed boating, fishing and gardening, loved to read but most of all she loved her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin L. Smith and her son, Donald Glenn Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce A. and Angie Smith of Orange; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Holcombe of Mauriceville and three grandchildren, Justin Holcombe and wife, Heather of Little Cypress, Krystal and husband, William T. Johnson of Hinesville, GA and Ashton Smith of Houston. She is also survived by her great granddaughter, Haley Elizabeth Johnson; very soon to be great granddaughter, Kenzlee Madison Holcombe and her brothers-in-law, Vernon Smith and wife, Evelyn of DeQuincy and Kenneth Smith and wife, Carolyn of Orange.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Holcombe, Justin Holcombe, Louis Fontenot, Paul Smith, Michael Webb and John Byley. Honorary pallbearers will be William T. Johnson, Weldon Walles and Leon Wallace.

The family wishes to acknowledge, with grateful appreciation, the love and care provided to our mother by the staff of Harbor Hospice of Beaumont.

For those who wish memorials may be directed to St. Mary?s Catholic School, 2600 Bob Hall Rd, Orange, TX 77630.
