Richard Lawrence Breaux, 66, of Sour Lake, Texas, passed away on May 2, 2023, in Sour Lake, Texas.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. A private graveside service will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 21, 1956, he was the son of Merlin Breaux and Margie Aiken Breaux. Richard loved the outdoors, riding his side by side and enjoying the land. Amongst his favorite things to do were tinkering in his shed and spending all the time he could with his grandchildren. Richard was kind and always willing to help those in need. He was a loving father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him during his journey through life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Breaux; his parents, Merlin and Margie Breaux; brothers, Wayne Breaux and Jim Breaux; and his father and mother-in-law, Dave and Rose Cumer.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew Breaux and wife, Amanda, Justin Breaux and wife, Melanie, and Richard Breaux and wife, Christina; his grandchildren, Dominick Breaux, Lucah Breaux, Scarlett Breaux, Gionni Breaux, Colston Breaux, Braxton Breaux, Grayson Breaux, and Olsen Breaux; and his sisters, Camille Hasbrouck and husband, Tom, and Charlotte Brown and husband, Gene.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Breaux, Justin Breaux, Richard Breaux, Braxton Breaux, Colston Breaux, Lucah Breaux, and Dominick Breaux.
