Richard Parker, 55, of Smith Point, passed away on May 4, 2016, at his home.

Memorial services will be 6:00, Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont.

He was born in Houston, Texas, on January 6, 1961. Richard was a consultant in the Oil Filed industry for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and going fishing. Richard loved spending time with his family but most of all spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Flora Parker; his father, Leon Parker and his step-mother, Tina; his step-daughters, Marlisa Lopez and Marie Lopez; step-son, Marc Lopez and his wife, Crystal; grandchildren, Blaiz Lopez, Kruz Lozano, Jayden Middleton, and Quade Lopez; and his brothers, James and Johnny Parker.

He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Frazier; by step-brother, Michael DeFore; step-sister, April DeFore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also going to be greatly missed by his only sister and her children. We have many great memories of Uncle Bubba...Justin will definitely miss all of their fishing adventures. He is certainly one of the men who helped instill the love of salt water fishing in him... I very much enjoyed being his favorite (albeit only) niece...and I always felt loved by him~ I will miss his smile, his chuckle, and his GRILLING skills! He was special to his great nephew as well, who was able to spend a lot of time with him while visiting Smith Point as a little boy. I wish he was able to get know his great niece , but the times he did see her, she definitely brought a smile to his face. We love Uncle Bubba and will miss him terribly.
