Robert A. Jackson

Robert A. Jackson, 76, of Beaumont passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Bethany Cemetery in Colmesneil.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Jackson was born January 1, 1934 in Houston to Jesse Taylor and Emma Jean Davis Jackson. He was in the US Navy for 10 years and then joined the National Army Reserve where he retired. After his military service he worked and retired as a foundryman at Mabry Foundry.

He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Mary Jackson; son, James Jackson and daughters, Roberta Goss and Suzanne Reed. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Taylor, Abbie and Paige Jackson and Bethany Reed; brother, Jimmy Jackson and sister Elva King.

A proud American through and through. A man who loved God and Country and was not ashamed to let you know it.
