Bobby, 77, was born April 3, 1935 to Thomas and Martha Burke McClary and passed away March 7, 2013 in Beaumont. Bobby was a long time resident of Beaumont, a businessman and owner of Air Vent Awnings for 50 years. He was a lifetime member of Optimist International for 55 years and Governor of the Southeast Texas Region from 1981 to 1983. He helped to establish the C-H-I-C-K-E-N Club and many other charter Optimist Clubs around Texas. Bobby spent many years working with Boys Haven and Girls Haven.

Bobby was challenged by polio at a young age but never let that slow him down and lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and spent his life serving the Lord, his family, his community and charities.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Morgan officiating. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 1:00 PM until the service at 2:00.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Ona McClary; sons, Burke McClary, Calvin McClary and his wife Becky, Scott McClary and his wife, Anna and Andrew McClary; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and his sister, George Ann Carroll and husband, Ben. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Debra; his son, David; his sisters, Mara Katherine and Louise and his brother-in-law, Gene Elkins.
